The Games Organizing Committee is appealing to Ottawa companies and businesses to purchase blocks of tickets/bracelets ($10 for an adult and $5 for youth 12 and under) that allows admission to ALL 25 sports all three days Thur to Sat., Aug 14-16 - and donate these tickets/bracelets to the Ottawa Big Sisters Big Brothers Association. This will allow a number of Ottawa's youth the opportunity to see some of the provinces elite age class athletes in the sport or sports of their choice. To order tickets go to the Games website: 2008osg.ca
The Games Organizing Committee (GOC) has been swamped with volunteer requests, so much so that many volunteers have had their queries go unanswered. The GOC has brought in extra help for Britany Gordon, Co-Director of Volunteer Services, to help read and respond to unanswered e-mails. So if you have not had a reply, please hang in there - someone is trying to reach you! You can always send an e-mail to: pat.reid@ottawa.ca if you feel your e-mail may have fallen through the cracks! We still WANT YOU and NEED YOU TO VOLUNTEER!
